Latest discovery - Etsy.com

Friday, October 13th, 2006

Thanks to Last.fm, I’ve discovered not only new music, but new websites, too. I followed a link from one of my weekly neighbors to a Web site called Etsy.com, where artisans, amateur artists, and crafty folks can sell their wares without needing to host their own web site. Because many of the sellers aren’t full-time professional artists, they usually sell their stuff for very reasonable prices. Alison & I immediately snapped up two prints from user RainyPrints, who is a college art student:

See, Hear, Speak No Evil Owletts Print

So cute!

Pumpkin Patch print

There’s something very tasteful about this print; plus, it’s seasonally-appropriate.

This sure beats buying off-the-shelf crap décor from the mall.
