While browsing the member benefits for Mensa, I found a company called LifeLock. This is a service that gets your name off of junk mail and pre-approved credit card offers, blocks promotional inquiries to your credit report (kinda the same thing), “full control and oversight of any checking accounts issued in your name” (whatever that means), and a $1,000,000 guarantee that your identity won’t be compromised while you’re under their watch. Granted, most of these things can be done on your own (if you’re careful and vigilant enough), so is $10/month worth it?
